EDA’s RLF CoP includes the selection of 10 – 12 existing RLFs to serve as peer advisors alongside the CoP Leadership Team. There is $95,000 - $100,000 in funding to compensate the RLF Peers for their time. Peers will provide workshops, review self-assessments, and develop and deliver content to cohort groups. Peers will extend the capabilities of the leadership team, mentor RLFs, and act as an on-going support to the RLF network.

In August, Congress passed the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), which included several climate and energy-saving provisions. These include tax credit initiatives to support smaller-scale renewable energy generation in Low-Income Communities. IRA also includes $2.8 billion in grant funds
