NDC is proudly claiming bragging rights for something we have known for a long time but can now tell the world with confidence: We are a Great Place to Work! NDC’ers have always been aware of what they find at NDC: mission, opportunity, growth, advancement, security. But now we can show the world objectively with officially, data-based certification from Great Place to Work® (GPTW), the global authority on workplace culture.
GPTW’s mission is “to build a better world by helping organizations become a great place to work FOR ALL (emphasis theirs)”. To achieve that goal, using data collected around the world, from 100,000,000 employees, they created the rigorous Great Place to Work® Trust Model, as the definitive standard of what it means to be a great workplace. That model puts the individual employee at the center, surrounded by an inner ring of management, colleagues and work, which in turn is encircled by another ring of pride, camaraderie, fairness, credibility and respect. In turn, that model became the basis for their Trust Index Survey – the instrument that every NDC’er was asked to complete in the last part of 2021. And the instrument which measured us by their international standard.
“We are thrilled to become Great Place to Work-Certified™. We consider employee experience a top priority every day,” said President and CEO Daniel Marsh III. “We owe our continued success to our team of dedicated employees at NDC. We celebrate and thank them for all they do to earn this incredible recognition.”
Here are the highlights of the survey results: 88% of found NDC current staff found NDC overall to be a great place to work, 50% higher than a typical U.S. company score of 59%. But more exciting: 100% found NDC to “have special and unique benefits”. Nearly 100% said they “feel good about the ways we contribute to the community”; are “proud to tell others” they work at NDC; believe “management would lay people off only as a last resort”; and felt “welcome when they joined the company”.
So aside from those bragging rights, we offer those advantages to peers and colleagues in our industry who are looking for new opportunities to contribute and grow in this field.

“Great Place to Work Certification™ isn’t something that comes easily – it takes ongoing dedication to the employee experience,” said Sarah Lewis-Kulin, vice president of global recognition at Great Place to Work. “It’s the only official recognition determined by employees’ real-time reports of their company culture. Earning this designation means that NDC is one of the best companies to work for in the country.”
