New Online Loan Application for Women and Minority Business Owners
The National Development Council and Thrive are partnering to help small business grow
Two nationally recognized lending experts are teaming up to grow small business ecosystems. In partnership with Thrive, the National Development Council (NDC) is launching an improved online loan application process to provide a faster and easier way for business owners to get a loan. Geared to minority- and women-owned businesses, this new partnership is designed to help with both working capital and business development support.
With 25 years of small business lending experience, NDC recognized a need to create a loan program for minority and women-owned businesses. This flexible loan program also provides assistance with best practices for managing and growing neighborhood businesses, including business plans, budgeting, and loan consolidation. Thrive is a financial technology company building modern lending infrastructure focused on digital experiences, intelligent automation and workflow efficiencies.
The new partnership brings together NDC’s 25 years of lending and support services to small businesses with Thrive’s technology platform. This partnership is supported by a $1,950,000 grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation of Battle Creek, Michigan.
As a small business lender for more than 25 years, NDC has developed a more flexible program for business owners who may not be approved for a traditional small business loan. To that end, businesses that have been profitable for 18 months may be eligible for a loan, even if the business owner has a below average credit score.
