JKT Development (dba Jamestown Excavating) is a tribally chartered commercial construction corporation that provides quality civil contracting for public and private projects in Clallam and Jefferson Counties on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington. The company provides a wide range of services, including excavation, grading, underground utilities, demolition, rock walls, clearing, trucking, site preparation, and septic system installation.
Jamestown Excavating (JEX) received a $130,000 small business loan from NDC EDL to purchase a dump truck that will allow the company to expand operations and become more efficient and profitable. JEX uses dump trucks to tow and haul materials needed for job-sites – and due to consistent high demand, they have been renting trucks from local contractors to meet current job load.
The new truck will save time and money due to its high lift gate and towing capacities compared to JEX’s existing fleet. It will also allow the company to take on additional work bringing in an estimated gross of $220,000 per year.
