NEW YORK, NY – JUNE 30, 2026 – Grow America, a national nonprofit that directs investment where it is needed most, is honored to announce the selection of Adam Ennis as its next President & CEO. Ennis brings more than 20 years of experience in community development finance, affordable housing, operations and nonprofit leadership to his new role. He previously served as the organization’s Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer.
With a deep belief in the power of capital to transform communities, Ennis is poised to lead Grow America into a new era of innovation and impact. His deep understanding of the community and economic development landscape nationally, combined with his demonstrated leadership skills and drive for growth, positions him as an ideal fit to lead the organization.
“I am deeply honored to take on the role of President & CEO of Grow America, an organization that has been improving communities and providing economic opportunity across the United States for five decades,” said Ennis. “I am excited to build upon our legacy of success and continue to work alongside our incredible staff, investors, funders, and local partners to deepen the organization’s impact in a rapidly changing landscape.”
During his tenure as COO, Ennis played a pivotal role in aligning the leadership and operating model with long-term mission growth, modernizing organizational infrastructure, forging partnerships with investors and other partners, strengthening governance and securing the organization’s first A+ (Stable) rating from Standard & Poors. Ennis also serves as an NMTC Advisory Board Member for Self-Help Ventures Fund and is a member of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants.
“After an extensive nationwide search and rigorous selection process, we are confident that we have found the best person to lead this organization,” said Grow America Board Chair Seth Bongartz. “We extend a warm congratulations and our support to Adam as he steps into his new leadership role. His deep commitment to the mission, and extensive experience within the community development space makes him the perfect leader to guide us into the future.”
Ennis will assume his role as President & CEO on August 17, 2026, succeeding Daniel Marsh III, whose 40-year career at Grow America reflects a lifetime commitment to the organization and its mission. During his tenure, including the past 11 years as President & CEO, Marsh helped guide the organization through significant growth and positioned it for continued impact in communities nationwide. “I’m proud of what Grow America has accomplished and even more excited about where the organization is headed,” said Marsh. “Adam is an exceptional leader, and together with our executive team, he is well positioned to build on our momentum, advance our mission, and lead Grow America into the next chapter and beyond.”
