In Partnership with Brownstone Affordable Housing Ltd, Aeolian Senior Apartments and the NDC Corporate Equity Fund IX, the project adds a new state the CEF Portfolio. This senior housing project was the acquisition and rehabilitation of the 4-story 60-unit historic Aeolian Apartments, located in Vicksburg, Warren County, Mississippi. Built in 1924, the Aeolian has been designated a certified historic structure, eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places. In addition to low income housing credits (LIHTC), the property has receive federal historic credits (HTC) and state historic credits. The Aeolian is located near the central business district of Vicksburg. The rehabilitated building has 48 one bedroom/one bath units with 700 square feet and 12 two bedroom/one bath units of 730 square feet. Support services will be provided by Better Mississippians, at no cost to the tenants. The following services will provided each quarter on a rotating basis for the residents: computer classes, credit counseling, fire safety, and health and nutrition.
