Thanks Ariana Miller from Travois for sharing your experience at the NDC Academy! See her Blog Post in the link attached, http://travois.com/travois-at-the-national-development-council-academy-in-d-c/

Ariana presented The Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska Educare Project, a semi-finalist in the Creative Financing Category. The center will be the first Educare in an American Indian community. Using NMTC financing from Travois and contributions from the Buffett Early Childhood Fund, the tribe was able to begin construction on the $10.5 million facility. The Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska will provide critical education to at-risk infants, toddlers, preschoolers and their families through the new Educare Winnebago, a comprehensive early childhood education program that helps children from low-income families close the educational achievement gap. The project is expected to create 59 full time jobs with an annual salary of $33,000 (two times the area living wage), 73 construction jobs and will serve 191 students and families.
