Meet NDC Green, the newest organization in our NDC family of organizations, all created to serve NDC’s mission to increase the flow of capital to underserved communities around the country. In 2008, NDC began a preliminary program to apply public financing incentives for sustainable development and renewable energy to community development and public projects. These resources had typically been applied to for-profit projects, but NDC has developed models that make those benefits available to the public and non-profit sectors.
With several successful projects now closed, we have established our green program in a brand new sibling non-profit, NDC Green Renewable Energy Enterprise, to help government agencies and nonprofits meet their obligations and fulfill their missions through the use of renewable energy sources and energy conservation measures.
Here are a few of the activities that NDC Green will be working on help reduce the cost of energy for municipalities and nonprofits, increasing the net capital flowing into distressed communities across the U.S.:
- Renewable Energy Systems (wind, solar, biomass, fuel cell, landfill gas, etc.)
- Energy Retrofits of Existing Buildings
- LEED Certified Buildings
- Municipal Energy Efficiency Loan Funds
- Manufacturing Facilities for Renewable Energy/Energy Efficiency Materials and Products
